RWI Phonics (Set 3)

當家長或小朋友對set 1 and set 2熟悉後，便可開始學習set 3. Set 3有些音是和set 2一樣，但併合的字母是不一樣的。

There are 20 Set 3 ‘speed sounds’ that are made up of two or three letters which represent just one sound

ea: cup of tea  (跟set 2的ee 是同音的）

oi: spoil the boy  (跟set 2 oi 同音）

a-e: make a cake (跟set 2的ay 是同音的）

i-e: nice smile （跟set 2的igh同音）

o-e: phone home (跟set 2 ow同音）

ur: purse for a nurse  (跟set 2 ir 同音）

er: a better letter

ow: brown cow  （跟set 2 ou 同音）

ai: snail in the rain

oa: goat in a boat

ew: chew the stew

ire: fire fire!
